White Temple
You may have seen photos of clean white temples but if you haven’t seen it with your own eyes, you won’t know that the beauty of paradise still exists. The elaborate detail that we have seen is from the intention of Teacher Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai artist. He wants to continue Buddhism to gradually build this temple in 20 years ago and expect to continue to be a great work of art as a treasure of Thailand.
Blue Temple
The Blue Temple is immediately recognizable for its brilliant shade of rich sapphire. The temple walls, roof, and surrounding statues are all covered in this gorgeous hue, an unusual decorative choice in a country where most temples are made of gold. This color is symbolically associated with purity, wisdom, and the lack of materialism that Buddhists aspire to.
Black House Museum
When talking about white, it should have black. Chiang Rai has the Black House Museum or Baan Dam which is a collection of wood buildings featuring works by Thawan Duchanee & other contemporary Thai artists. The Black House Museum has unique characteristics, Lanna Arts. There are houses on over 100 rai of land amid shady trees that allowing us to fully enjoy the art.
Longnecks Karen Village
Longneck Karen is one of Karen tribes. They call themselves Padaung. It is believed that originally they came from Yunnan Province, central China. Later in 1000 AD according to the history, they migrated to Salween River Basin in Myanmar. In 1995, there were approximately 25,000 Padaungs living in Myanmar. They mainly live on traditional agricultural activities. After political incident against the minorities in Myanmar, Padaungs have evacuated
Choui Fong Tea Plantation
Choui Fong Tea Plantation stands as a renowned tea-growing destination in Chiang Rai province, comprising two distinct locations. The first plantation, nestled in Mae Fa Luang district, spans over 800,000 square metres and sits at an altitude of 1,200 metres above sea level, not open to the public. The second plantation, situated in Mae Chan district before Ban Thert Thai, covers an expansive area of over 1.6 square kilometres.
The Golden Triangle
Golden Triangle The wonder of Golden Triangle is the visit to 3 countries; Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, in one place. It is 9 kilometres north of Chiang Saen along the Mekong riverside road. Sop Ruak is the place where Mekong River, the border between Thailand and Laos, meets Ruak River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In the past, Golden Triangle was the world’s large source of drug trafficking owing to its privileged location attached to many countries.

Marc N2025-02-07Verified Amazing and well packed 1-day experience! We went for the 1-day jungle trek with our 2 toddlers in back carriers. It was a wonderful experience all four of us and the hosts were skillful and fun to hike with, also very good English speakers. The hike was challenging with kids on your back but not too tough and very doable. Loved the bamboo cooking, landscape sceneries and waterfall swim! It was a very complete experience packed in a 1-day hike. Sukanya2024-12-16Verified Excellent must do 1 day jungle trek with Parntrek and also 1 day tour of temples and golden triangle Went on a one day jungle trek for 1200 THB earlier this week as a Solo traveller - amazing and MUST DO in Chiang Rai. Guide Wat was superberb. The bamboo lunch cooking during the trek is one of a kind experience and the most delicious food I have ever had. Also went on a day tour of golden triangle, white temple and blue temple etc for 1000 THB with them that was also excellent the guide was entertaining and keeps you engaged. camb20072024-11-16Verified Excellent day We had a great day with Samy and James (Bond) 007.Start of the trek at 10 am, we start with an hour walk in the forest before stopping in a first village for tea. After 30 minutes, we walk back to our lunch place where we could cook and enjoy a typical meal cooked in bamboo. After the meal, resume the walk with visit to the waterfall and two villages. We returned to the cars around 5:00 p.m.I highly recommend this activity because of its originality, but also because of the good humor of our guides who made us laugh throughout the day while teaching us a lot about the place and survival in the forest. Road516574331332024-10-03Verified Great experience in Chiang rai During our day in chiang rai on September 5, we were guided by a wonderful person named Sammie, the Guide made our day an unforgettable experience, showing us endless curiosities and making us laugh with his sympathy throughout the day. The tour itself is an experience, more than necessary, although with Sammie's company, it was unbeatable! Thank you for every friend! Val J2024-02-21Verified Fantastic day's trekking My husband and I did the one day jungle trekking with our lovely guide Ayu. It was a wonderful and unforgettable adventure. We travelled in a van with 4 others to the start of the trek. The paths were tricky at times- steep both up and down, narrow, with a little clambering over rocks in places. The jungle scenery and hill tribe villages were amazing. We stopped for lunch which was all very tasty and incredibly cooked in bamboo. We had chicken, omelette, vegetable soup and there was also a delicious spicy salad. We helped Ayu and his 'assistant' prepare the food. After lunch we stopped at a waterfall for a splash, we couldn't swim there. We then had a choice of short route 11km or long route 14km. After much debating we chose the longer, which was great. On returning to the starting point we had some drinks in the restaurant and got taken back to our hotel in Chiang Rai. Ayu was just great, a very friendly guy originally from one of the hill tribe villages. He kept making sure everyone was ok and even made us bamboo cups with our names on, rings and 'crowns' for the women. All in all it was a superb day and one I shall never forget. Thanks, Ayu. sandra2023-10-21Verified The best excursion in Chiang Rai We went trekking with Wat and it was the best experience we have had on our trip to Thailand. It is a unique experience, 100% recommended. Wat is super friendly and funny, he helped us with everything! Making food with them in the middle of the jungle was the best and the places we went were unique! BTX11202023-10-15Verified Really nice local tour Arrangement is perfect and the local tour guide is so considerateHis English is good and provide water during the travelTiming is good and always on schedule Marie N2023-08-25Verified Good company in Chiang Rai We did 2 tours with Parntrek whilst in Chiang Rai. We did the day tour of the temples, monkey cave and up to the Golden Triangle. It was a great day out, very informative, good guide and well organised. Picked up from our accommodation, lunch provided. Learnt more about this area of Thailand and the opium museum was very interesting as well and included in the price of 1000 Baht. We did the day trek as well the following day. Was a good hike through some lovely areas outside Chiang Rai. The lunch prepared with bamboo cooking was delicious and catered for vegetarian. The guides were great fun and knowledgeable. Saw some great little lizards, spiders and a snake. Well organised and good fun, worth the price of 1200 Baht. Definitely recommend this company for trekking and tours. Ryan B2023-08-22Verified sammy the jungle man Sammy the jungle man showed us a great time in the national park. Felt like a real authentic day out in Thailand. Would recommend to a friend. Cheers Sammy ✌️ juan manuel2023-06-20Verified Great guide made our day to my mother and I We were late in the morning and booked and emergency full day trekking with jungle cooking with bamboo. Our guide ayu is an amazing guy. Picked us at our hotel and do the trekking with us. He was born in one of the villages you visit and knows their languages. Also speaks English very good and knows a little bit of Spanish. A very creative guy, he was all the trekking doing some inventions, from bamboo he made rings, walking sticks, eating sticks, cups, BB guns and even a selfie stick! Very smart he can teach you also about the culture and history. Also amazing chef. 10/10 guide I would recommend doing this activity.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
